Allow a quick introduction of myself.
Many call me JG* and that is what I prefer online as it is both an intimate yet “arms-length” representation of me.
Over the years I have written things here and there, and I have had a voice that told the stories of my life at that moment. Today I launch an entirely new piece of me that in many ways is a carry over of much of the same that has existed before. I’d like to think that by now I’ve figured it out. Who I am. What’s important to me. Additionally, I’ve come to understand that which I would like to share with the world. I’ve begun to tap into what drives me, what intrigues me, and what I’m actually interested in talking about. That has led me to the creation of this blog.
As you will see, prior to this posting I have incorporated pieces of my almost forgotten past online persona into this blog. My recipes from “JG* Runs The Kitchen” and my European travel tales from “JG* Runs The World”. Neither of those projects could sustain the ebbs and flows of my life because I had no true understanding of my passion for those experiences. Having found myself constantly seeking to share the information that swirls inside my head, I found myself desiring an outlet again. Desiring a platform to stand upon and speak.
So here I am.
A lot of thought went into what would become “The Corner Office Diva”. It was borne from the ideas that would pop into my head, causing me to scramble for the nearest post-it note. I wanted each of these ideas to be discussed, and from my past I realized I knew just the forum. Additionally I was ready for my re-introduction into the online space. A lot has changed over the years and I have become a professional woman on the edge of starting a family. All of these things considered I knew I was ready to try again.
So here is what I can offer you. On this site I will post topics on life in Corporate America, Fashion, Travel, Industry News, Recipes for busy people, and some random thoughts as they pop into my head. I won’t promise to post daily, never that, but you will see something new here at least twice a week.
So welcome to “The Corner Office Diva” I’m really excited about this project! I use “Diva” not in the negative way that it is sometimes associated, but more in the strong, self-assured, “ready for the world” way in which Beyonce so lovingly belted it.
